Venom CoLab - Snail

The Snail team’s goal is to find a new treatment for pain in humans. This group learns about how pain is a signal sent between nerve cells. To stop pain, a peptide from venom can be used to bind to calcium ion channels and stop nerves from sending the signal. This group’s material is inspired by the real non-opioid pain treatment Ziconotide.

After purchasing seats, teachers are able to select the roles for each student and the organism for each group. If you would like your students to focus on treatment for pain, please select Snail for the organism.
